ACDA Eastern Region is seeking nominations for candidates to be considered for the position of President-Elect Designate. The nomination period will close at 11:59PM on Friday, November 21, 2025. All nominations will be considered by a committee of the current Eastern Region President and three past-presidents. Two candidates will be put forward for an election by the membership.
Any current ACDA Eastern Region member can nominate a candidate for consideration or self-nominate by completing the Google Form listed below. You will need to include a letter of support for your nominee, or if self-nominating, a statement of intention that directly addresses the desired traits and experiences listed below:
- Leader with a track record of service within ACDA or similar/affiliated organizations (Chorus America, music education association, NCCO)
- Choral practitioner with proven acumen in teaching, conducting, programming and administration
- Project Manager with proven delegation skills
- Innovator and visionary
- Collaborator and connection builder (facilitator) who revels in bringing people together
within the profession, regionally, and nationally
- Current active, retired, life or paying life member of ACDA (required)
- Advocate for cultural and educational change through powerful artistic experiences (see ACDA Vision Statement)
- Consistently demonstrates an adherence to and belief in the Purposes of ACDA
The successful candidate will begin their term as President-Elect Designate upon being elected and serve through June 30, 2026; serve as President-Elect from July 1 2026 to June 30, 2028; serve as President from July 1, 2028 to June 30, 2030; and serve as Past President from July 1, 2030 to June 30, 2032. One of the primary responsibilities, in addition to National Board service, is to plan and oversee the 2030 Eastern Region Conference.
