- DO NOT state the student name, sponsor name, or organization for any uploaded recordings.
- Teachers/Directors will submit auditions on behalf of their students. Students or parents/guardians CANNOT submit honor choir applications.
- ACDA Membership Validation: Teachers/Directors must be an current ACDA member with a valid ACDA membership number in order to submit their singer’s audition. They will be required to log into their ACDA membership portal prior to uploading and submitting their singer’s audition.
- Singers may only audition for ONE voice part (ex. choose between Bass 1 and Bass 2 where applicable)
- Auditioning for Multiple Honor Choirs: Singers who are eligible for multiple honor choirs (ex. SSAA Honor Choir and SATB Contemporary A Cappella Fusion Ensemble), are welcome to audition for multiple choirs, but must submit separate auditions and pay both audition fees, and may only audition for one voice part per choir.

Singers must be sponsored by an ACDA member who holds a current active, life, paying life, or retired ACDA membership.
Application fee of $20 per application, payable at the time of audition submission. Payment types available will be debit card or credit card. Checks and POs will not be accepted.

Individual Payment: Teachers can pay for each student individually after uploading their audition materials
Bulk Payment: Teachers can pay for all their students at the same time after uploading all their students’ auditions
Forward Payment to Parent: Teachers can send a link directly to a parent email address for the parent/guardian to pay the audition fee

Accepted singers are responsible for all of the following:
- Registration/participation fee, hotel accommodations, food, and personal transportation to and from Providence, Rhode Island.
- Registration/participation fee of $330 for:
- All students in the SATB Gospel Honor Choir
- Students in the SSAA Honor Choir, SATB Honor Choir, or SATB Contemporary A Cappella Fusion Ensemble who do NOT wish to be housed and chaperoned by ACDA
- Registration/participation fee of $540 for:
- Students in the SSAA Honor Choir, the SATB Honor Choir, or the SATB Contemporary A Cappella Fusion Ensemble who wish to be housed (Quad-Occupancy) and chaperoned by ACDA
- The registration fee covers the cost of sheet music, guest instrumentalists, part tracks, concert recordings, t-shirts, facility use, extraordinary accompanists, and world-renowned conductors.
- Participating singers and their parent(s) or parent-appointed chaperones will be responsible for arranging and paying for their accommodations. A link will be provided after students are accepted to make reservations at a conference rate in designated hotels.
- This fee does NOT include personal transportation to and from Providence, RI.
- Scholarships are available and financial need will have no impact on the audition outcome.
- The registration fee can be paid by credit, debit, or PO.

- Accepted singers must be in attendance at all scheduled rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.
- Students participating in a performing choir or other aspects of the conference will not be able to participate in the honor choir.
- Singers must arrive well-prepared on Wednesday, February 25th. Singers will have part-check hearings upon arrival at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Students who are not prepared will not be allowed to participate in the honor choir.
- Singers are expected to abide by all ACDA Honor Choir policies. If rules are broken, singers will be sent home at their personal expense.
- All students must have an ACDA sponsor or a designated chaperone (one chaperone may serve more than one student) staying on-site at a conference hotel who will provide ACDA with a working cell phone number.
- More detailed chaperone information will be shared after acceptances are released.

Honor Choir acceptance emails, delivered to the teacher/director on November 1, will include a link to a financial aid application, due November 10, 2025 at 11:59pm. Financial aid will only apply to registration fee, not lodging, travel, or meals.
Financial aid applications must be completed by the student’s teacher/director with a valid ACDA membership number. Financial aid is available to students who request it on a first-come, first-served basis. No financial aid requests will be considered after 11:59 pm on November 10, 2025.

Experience the power of treble voices united in the High School Treble Honor Choir under the leadership of Cindy Ellis, an accomplished conductor, music educator and vocalist whose legendary performance at the 2025 ACDA National Conference in Dallas inspired audiences nationwide. Cindy brings her extraordinary artistry and dedication to the treble singers of the Eastern Region, guiding them through a vibrant program and newly commissioned work by Grammy-nominated composer, vocalist, and choral musician, Tehillah Alphonso.

Elevate your artistry with the High School Mixed SATB Honor Choir, conducted by Dr. Marques L.A. Garrett, a leading choral composer, conductor, and scholar known for his dynamic programming and dedication to artistic excellence. This ensemble will perform a newly commissioned piece by Blake Morgan (who is also a member of the world-renowned Voces8), bringing innovative, modern artistry to student singers. Join a community of passionate high school musicians, challenge yourself with diverse repertoire, and experience the power and joy of singing with Dr. Garrett and working with Blake for a world-premiere of a new piece of choral music!

Join the cutting edge of choral genre integration and vocal artistry in the Contemporary A Cappella Fusion Ensemble with Rob Dietz, composer, co-founder of the A Cappella Academy, CARA-award-winning arranger and vocal coach from NBC’s The Sing-Off. This unique ensemble will feature new pieces by Rob Dietz, MaryAnne Muglia, Matt Goldstein, Shams Ahmed and a special commission by Ben Bram, Grammy and Emmy-winning arranger and co-founder of Pentatonix and the A Cappella Academy.
