Learn what our guest conductors have to say about our commissioned composers!

I look forward to working with Rollo Dilworth because he was the reason I decided to pursue music education. In 2007, I was a part of the ACDA Multicultural Choir and Dr. Dilworth was one of our clinicians. This was the first black doctor in music I had ever seen, and after that experience, I said to myself “I want to do that.” 19 years later, I am honored to grace the same stage with the man who sparked my fuel for music.

SATB MIDDLE SCHOOL GOSPEL Conductor
Blake Morgan is a stellar musician who consistently makes other people better musicians by being in his orbit. He’s also a kind and sweet man as we’ve talked about repertoire, choral music trends, and funny Instagram reels. I love his compositional voice and know that his song will be amazing like his many others.

I have long been an admirer of Tehillah Alphonso’s work!
I appreciate her approach to writing, which partially stems from her experience as an amazing vocalist. I look forward to introducing her to another generation of student musicians and educators.

SSAA Conductor
I’m excited to be collaborating with Ben for this commission – he and I have worked together for almost fifteen years on many different projects, including The Sing-Off, A Cappella Academy, and Glee! As a Grammy winning arranger for his work with Pentatonix, Ben is a huge driving force behind the growth of contemporary a cappella in the music industry. He has a unique compositional style that combines pop harmony and lush vocal textures to create work that speaks to a broad audience. I’m thrilled to incorporate his creative voice into the sound of the inaugural contemporary a cappella fusion ensemble!
