2024 ACDA Eastern Region SSAA Honor Choir Conductor Announcement
The ACDA Eastern Region Conference Committee had been greatly looking forward to having Alysia Lee conduct the 2024 ACDA Eastern Region High School SSAA Honor Choir in Providence, however Ms. Lee has opted to withdraw from the conference. We will miss her greatly and wish her well.
We are thrilled that Dr. A. Jan Taylor has agreed to conduct the High School SSAA Honor Choir. Dr. Taylor was an outstanding and popular headliner at our 2022 Eastern Region Conference in Boston, conducting a Director’s Chorus and leading conducting masterclasses. Having recently retired as Director of Choral Activities at Prairie View A&M University, Dr. Taylor has appeared throughout the United States as a choral conductor, clinician, and adjudicator, and has received acclaim for her work with the Prairie View A&M University Concert Chorale and Prairie View Chamber Singers, and as Assistant Conductor of the Houston Symphony Chorus.
We are delighted that our High School SSAA Honor Choir students will have a chance to work with Dr. Taylor on the repertoire chosen by Ms. Lee and look forward to hearing their performance in Providence!
