
Andrea Galeno is a choral & theatre educator from Long Island, New York. She is currently the chairperson of music for Elmont Memorial High School where she directs both the 7th & 8th grade choirs.
Andrea holds a Masters in Educational Theatre from New York University, and has worked with educational & applied theatre luminaries such as Augusto Boal, Dorothy Heathcote, Gavin Bolton, & Cecily O’Neill, among others. She has done theatre work & projects with unhoused teens, incarcerated individuals, people with disabilities, and domestic workers (to name a few) in places such as New York, Rio de Janiero, Belfast, and Dublin.
An active singer, Andrea is a founding member of eVoco Voice Collective under the direction of Dr. David Fryling and has served the Board of Directors in several capacities, including President.
An active member of the American Choral Director’s Association, Andrea has served ACDA as a past Eastern Division Honor Choir Chair in Rochester (2020) and Boston (2022), and served as the 2025 National Honor Choir Coordinator in Dallas. She is currently the National Honor Choir Coordinator for the 2027 conference.
