
Alison Geesey Lagan has been the Director of Choral Activities at Parkland High School in Allentown, PA, since 2022, where she oversees the Beginning Chorus, Mixed Chorus, Concert Choir, Vera Voce (auditioned SSAA), and the Parkland Chorale (auditioned SATB); she also teaches AP Music Theory and serves as music director for Parkland’s award-winning spring musical program. Under her direction, Parkland choirs have performed at notable venues including the PA State Capitol, Walt Disney World, and Carnegie Hall, and the Parkland Chorale also performed as a featured ensemble at the 2025 PMEA All-State Conference and the 2025 NAfME All-Eastern Conference in Hartford, CT.
Alison is active as an educator, conductor, and clinician. She is a member of mirabai, a professional women’s ensemble, most recently performing as a headlining choir at the 2026 ACDA Eastern Conference. In addition to choral music and singing, she also holds a strong passion for vocal health; her experiences with vocal health as a classroom teacher have led to invitations to present sessions for educators across the country, including state music conferences in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Florida. She holds a master’s degree in choral conducting from Michigan State University, as well as a master’s degree in music theory and a bachelor’s degree in music education from Penn State University. She resides in Macungie, PA, with her husband Brennan, goldendoodle Ringo, and cat Paul McCatney.
