Headline Choirs

Come marvel at the intricate and surprising jazz arrangements of Vocalogy at our Wednesday evening opening concert and reception. Be deeply moved by the transcendent choral improvisations of The Choir of Trinity Wall Street in NEC’s renowned Jordan Hall. Sit in awe of the creativity and virtuosity of Roomful of Teeth (featuring the Boston Children’s Chorus) in Harvard’s Historic Sanders Auditorium.  Each concert will have you transfixed. You will leave Boston transformed. Auditioned Choirs

Dozens of choirs from across the Eastern Division – and one all the way from China – applied, and fifteen were chosen to perform in our beautiful Back Bay venues. They represent the highest in choral excellence from children’s choir to professional, and everything in between. These are the auditioned choirs.

Honor Choir Conductors

High School: Jeffery Redding, conductor
South American Repertoire: Daniel Afonso, conductor
Junior High: Andrea Ramsey, conductor
Elementary: Fernando Malvar-Ruiz, conductor.

Student opportunities

From the Student Conducting Masterclass to the Student Reception, from Kegerreis scholarship to student volunteer opportunities to offset registration costs, we are focused on making our events not only inspirational but also affordable for our next generation of leaders.

Interest Sessions

Interest SessionsOver 40 boundary-pushing interest sessions will be presented by dynamic and engaging clinicians, addressing a wide-range of interests, levels, and subjects. Two masterclasses – one for conductors and one for composers – will pair maestros with students. And our highly popular Together We Sing reading sessions return, featuring R&S Chair-recommended repertoire.

ExhibitsBegin every morning (Thursday-Saturday) with our free “Breakfast in the Exhibits!” Come and explore, shop, network, or plan your next tour – and do it all face-to-face with the people who bring these critical services to our profession.
Thursday 8:00a-2:00p and 3:30p-6:00p
Friday 8:00p-2:00p and 3:30p-6:00p

Conference App – LIVE 1/1/16

ACDAEast is going (semi-) paperless! Other than concert programs and Together We Sing reading packets, everything you need will be in the app. We’ve spent a great deal of time and energy to make sure using the app is an upgrade to using a traditional conference book, and we look forward to letting you try it out for yourselves.

VenuesWithin easy walking distance of the Boston Sheraton Hotel – where we will hold all interest sessions, exhibits, and Honor Choir rehearsals – are our five magnificent concert venues. Click here to learn more.
