Dr. Elisa Macedo Dekaney is dual appointed by the School of Education and the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in choral music, research, world music, and music and genocide. An active researcher, clinician, and choral conductor in the United States and abroad, Elisa has published her research in several journals such as the Journal of Research in Music Education, The Choral Journal, Music Educators Journal, and Update. Her book, “Travel On and On: Interdisciplinary Lessons on the Music of World Cultures” was published in 2010 by Rowman & Littlefield and NAfME.
