Late Information - Hotels: The Hilton and Westin are sold out.  There are limited rooms left at the Biltmore. We have new arrangements at these hotels:

• Renaissance (Next to the concert venue The VETS)  $139- 10 rooms
• Marriot Courtyard  (Across the street from the Biltmore) $139- 30 rooms
• Providence Marriot- (about a mile outside of town but free parking, shuttle service and internet)  75 rooms $149.

Online registration:  To register on line (if you have an ACDA Member ID):

1. go to www.ACDA.org and Log In at Member Login on top right.
2. click the appropriate Division you would like to attend from the Registration bar on the left-hand side of the front page.

Mail-in registration:  Members of professional organizations who are not members of ACDA and others who do not have an ACDA Member ID,  please use the PDF registration form, which is located here.

COMMUNITY

A choral "Community" refers to all beings who have a shared love or interest in choral music. Often, as choral professionals, we become so focused on our own ensembles and our own musical involvement we forget the tremendous influence music has on others. The Eastern Division Conference, Creating a Choral Community, will open all our eyes, ears, and hearts to the varied impact music has on society in the hope of creating bridges and roads to the many disparate members of our community.

 

PERFORMANCE

• A full performance of Verdi's Requiem directed by Ann Howard Jones of Boston University
• I Fagiolini- one of Britain's most outstanding choirs
• Auditioned Choirs- The very best of Collegiate, High School, Middle School, Elementary, Jazz, and Community Choirs - 20 choirs in all
• Creating a Choral Community - Welcome Concert
• Brock Commission - Distance can't keep us two apart - Dr. Chen Yi

OVER 40 INTEREST SESSIONS

• Some of the best talent in the Eastern Division
• Nationally respected leaders and musicians

EXPANDING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

Building Communities With Song, a mini-series:

• Choral music for the terminally ill and their families, for the homeless, incarcerated, and those with special needs
• Festival Choir - singers with intellectual and developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries rehearse with Allison Fromm, Alice Parker, and Nick Page. Application deadline extended to November 15, 2011.
• A presentation demonstrating the impact of music on those with special needs
