Choral-Orchestral Works by Women Composers of the 18th through 20th centuries

This session will present in historical context four major works by women composers: Marianne Martines (1744-1812) Dixit Dominus (1774); Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel (1805-1847) Oratorium (1831); Lili Boulanger (1893-1918) Psalm 130: Du fond de l’âbime (1910-1917); and Henrietta Glick (1901-1994) Firehead (completed after World War II), discovered in the last twenty years of the 20th century, but as yet unpublished and never performed.
