Dr. Mark A. Boyle is Director of Choral Activities at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. A conductor, tenor, composer, and poet, he is sought after as a clinician and soloist. Boyle is a proponent of new music, having commissioned at least one new work each year of his collegiate career. Active in ACDA, he serves as the College and University R and S Chair for Pennsylvania, and has served on boards in New Jersey and Indiana. Boyle also serves as the Deputy Province Governor for Province 39 of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He sings professionally with the Chancel Choir of Shadyside Presbyterian Church and continues to perform with the Princeton Singers as he is able. He was the graduate advisor of the Ball State Chapter of ACDA when they received chapter of the year and was a semi-finalist for the ACDA Graduate Conducting Competition. Boyle has served on the faculties of Ball State University, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and Millersville University, where he founded the Marauder Men's Glee Club. He is a proud veteran of the United States Navy, during which time he conducted the Bluejackets Memorial Choir at Naval Training Center. He and his wife, music educator and pianist, Jane Boyle, reside in New Stanton, Pennsylvania with their two sons, Nathan and Patrick.
