Men in the Middle
A workshop choir for young men in the 7th and 8th grades

ACDA has formed a choir of 7th-8th grade men in the midst of the voice change for a day full of singing, education and fun at the 2010 Eastern Division Conference!  Clinician Terry Barham, author of Strategies for Teaching Junior High and Middle School Male Singers, will rehearse with the Workshop Choir members in the morning. In the afternoon, Dr. Barham and the Choir will present a two-hour conference session focused on the rewards and challenges of working with the changing voices of middle school men.

Workshop choir members will learn and demonstrate Dr. Barham's dynamic vocal strategies as well as showcase appropriate choral repertoire. Repertoire will be mailed to ACDA sponsors in advance so that they can prepare their gentlemen for this great experience!
 
 

*The Choir schedule is designed to allow choir members to travel to and from Philadelphia in one day. If overnight accommodations are needed, hotel reservations can be made at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown at the ACDA conference rate.
